Starting A Business? Think SCORE

“I understand small business growth. I was one.” – President George W. Bush

Small businesses are the backbone of Connecticut’s communities. They provide our communities with jobs, services, charitable involvement and tax revenue.

Starting and running your own business is no small task.

If you are thinking of starting your own business, I think you should think SCORE.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and a resource partner with the Small Business Association. SCORE provides advice and mentorship to entrepreneurs.

SCORE offers free advice to entrepreneurs.

If I were looking to start a business in Connecticut, I’d hire an attorney (in my case I may go pro se), an accountant, and I’d consult with SCORE.
