This site will serve as my law blog. I’ll be writing about legal issues, the practice of law, Connecticut legal stories and really anything law related that interests me enough to write about it. My First Post “Hello”
This is my annual post where I celebrate being upright for another year. I launched this site on Christmas Eve in 2007.
As I write this, we’re inching ever so close to 750,000 hits. I don’t know the exact number because I lost about a year’s worth of data in 2009.
This is my 819th published post.
2014 has been a year of remarkable growth for me professionally. I have doubled down on improving my trial skills by attending national seminars, reading everything I can get my hands on, and taking cases to verdict.
McKeen Law Firm has grown as well. In January, my longtime assistant, Ruth Deslauries joined the team. Ruth helps me move litigation files by handling discovery and assisting me with pleadings.
We have made significant investments in technology and are now able to cost effectively conduct cutting edge focus groups in house. These focus groups are invaluable to us and our clients. They allow us to identify issues and develop case themes accordingly.
Other investments are allowing us to process work more efficiently than ever. This provides us with a significant competitive edge in allowing us to deliver cost effective results for our clients.
We have some significant announcements to make in the coming weeks. We are actively looking to open more offices. Where, how, and when we do that is very much up in the air.
This past year stretched my ability to provide the level of service to my clients that I expect from myself and maintain this blog. But the rule is clients always come first.
Next year, I expect to further grow this site. Some of the soon to be announced changes should result in more content production.
