Sunday Real Estate Contracts in Connecticut

Did you ever worry that if you entered into a real estate contract on a Sunday that it would be invalid? I haven’t and it turns out with good reason because Connecticut has a statute that says real estate contracts and leases entered into on Sundays are valid:

No provision of section 53-302a shall be construed to render invalid any contract for the sale or lease of real property entered into on Sunday, and no such contract, entered into after October 1, 1967, shall be deemed to be invalid solely because it was entered into on Sunday. This section shall not affect any litigation pending in any court of this state on October 1, 1967. Conn. Gen. Stat. Sec. 53-300a

Have a great weekend and have no fear if you happen to buy a house or enter into a lease on Sunday.
