Quick Hits: CT Blogging CLE, Twitterific 2.0, and Zack Greinke

This week has been busy. I hope to be back with a few new posts next week.

For today it’s my latest installment of quickhits:

-Really excited about the upcoming CLE on the “Basics of Blogs, Twitter, and Social Media for Lawyers” on May 26th.  The CT Bar Association has informed me that enrollment is high; there’s been a lot of buzz about the seminar and they fully expect a great turn out. Equally as pleasing is that the pool of registrants is diverse and has drawn equally from both small, solo, and large firms.  If you’re interested, I think you’ll get your monies worth in terms of advice, materials, and discussion.  Make sure to bring your business cards and enter to win a year’s scholarship to Solo Practice University.

– If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch you must download Twitterific 2.0.  In life and especially software, new isn’t always improved. In playing with Twitterific 2.0, it’s clear the developers brought their A game on this one. It’s far faster, more functional, and easier to use than Twitterific 1.0.

-Zack Greinke is the best story in baseball in a long time. Check out SI’s article on him about how he’s battled depression to become the most dominant pitcher in baseball.  To understand why he’s been unhittable on the mound, check out Brooks Baseball.net’s pitch f/x tool.  Click here to see how effective he is at changing speeds and the sharpness of his breaking pitches. Really cool suff.

Happy Mother’s Day and have a great weekend.
