Earth To Martha: Jepsen Qualified To Be AG

by Ryan McKeen

Martha Dean has filed suit against George Jepsen claiming he’s unqualified to be attorney general.

Despite making campaign promises to avoid unnecessary litigation through mediation – Dean sued Richard Blumenthal when she ran against him for Attorney General. She lost. A week before the republican primary she threatened to sue her opponent Ross Garber. You see a pattern here?

I haven’t yet seen Dean’s complaint but her tweet misses the mark. The Supreme Court did not rule that a candidate must have 10 years active litigation experience.  The Court ruled that the candidate must have “at least some experience litigating cases in court”.

Jepsen has argued cases in Connecticut courts including taking case before the CT Supreme Court. If you can’t see the difference between Jepsen’s legal resume and Bysiewicz’s resume – you aren’t trying hard enough. Jepsen has argued cases in court while Susan once went to court.

There is no way a court rules on this prior to the election.

I was right on Bysiewicz and I’m right on Jepsen.
