Foreclosure in Connecticut: A Sign Of The Times

Yesterday I did a title bring down on a bank owned property. That’s not the interesting part of the story.

Having looked through thousands of pages of land records in my life, it’s not uncommon to come across a bank owned property.

Usually, I see title in the name of “New Alliance” or “Enfield Federal Savings Bank” or some bank that I’ve heard of or at the very least an entity I can figure out.

Yesterday, I came across the following property owner:

U.S. Bank National Association, As Trustee, In Trust for the Registered Certificate Holders of Citigroup Mortgage Loan Trust 2007-AMC2 Asset-Backed Pass-Through Certificates, Series 2007-AMC2.

Yep, that, whatever that is, was someone’s neighbor.
