ABA Blawg 100!!!!!!!!

by Ryan McKeen

Above The LawVolokh Conspiracy,  and A Connecticut Law Blog?!?!?!

What do we have in common? All of us were selected as ABA Journal Blawg 100 a list that the ABA Journal claims contains the best legal blogs of the year.  The gold standard in geek!

I was surprised when the list came out to see this blog on it.  More than being on the list, I was very proud of my nomination:

A Connecticut Law Blog “single-handedly changed politics in Connecticut by analyzing the legal requirements to become attorney general. The presumed candidate ended up being disqualified and that … created a domino effect on other races,” says Dan Schwartz, CT Employment Law Blog.

I call Dan the “Blogfather”. It was after I read about his blog in the Law Tribune that I decided to launch this blog 3 years ago.  Dan is a first rate member of the CT legal community. Throughout the life of this blog, Dan has been generous with his advice, support, and encouragement.

This blog has been a wonderful outlet for me to explore Connecticut law. It’s fun to be law curious. I’m happy to share my passion with you. Thank you for reading.  I’m honored that this blog was named on the ABA 100 list.

When I found out, I posted the link on facebook and wrote that I was humbled. A friend and Boston lawyer, asked why is it humbling and told me “to screw the nod to false modesty”. So I will.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
