<p>That&#8217;s the question that ran through my mind as I scrolled Twitterific this morning and saw &#8220;Vicious $99 million goes back to Court.&#8221; <a href="http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/Messy-99-Million-Divorce-Goes-Back-to-Court.html">Link.</a></p>
<p>I know divorce and personal injury are different worlds though I&#8217;m sure some would beg to differ.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure what the highest personal injury settlement or verdict is in Connecticut but I&#8217;m almost positive it&#8217;s considerably less than $99 million dollars.</p>
<p>Think about that. Lots of horrible things happen to people and they never come close to a 99 million dollar judgment or verdict. That includes people who suffer horrible life altering injuries such as brain damage or burns and are in pain for the rest of their lives.</p>
<p>Yet in Family Court, someone thinks she&#8217;s entitled to that kind of money for being married for 7 years. I know different laws are at play but I&#8217;m sure we&#8217;re living in an upside down world.</p>
