“There’s nothing like a party…”
In mid-August, Meghan, Kristen, and I went to WNE School of Law to meet with first year students during orientation. As we were leaving, Carol Thompson asked us to recommend a venue for the WNE Hartford Alumni gathering.
Without hesitation we said “our office!”
On that hot August afternoon we thought we’d be in our office by mid-September or early October at the latest. The alumni reception wouldn’t be held until early November. We didn’t think we were cutting things close.
Invitations to the reception went out with our name on them. Construction delays mounted. The pressure on us mounted.
Construction needed to end. Our office needed to be cleaned. We needed to move in.
We made all of that happen.
The final contractor left the job on Saturday. Pictures have been hung. The office has been cleaned. We are moved in.
It is with great pride that we welcome WNE Alumni to our home this evening.
