Bridget Mary McCormack, a law professor and dean at the University of Michigan Law School, is running for the Michigan Supreme Court. (Almost half the states elect the jurists that sit on their highest court — which seems, frankly, pretty nutty to a New Englander. None of the New England states use popular vote as the means of appointing judges to the court of last resort.)
What if we did, though? What would Connecticut Supremes’ campaigns look like?
Would they be as cool as Dean McCormack’s? Turns out her sister, Mary McCormack, used to be on the West Wing. One or both the McCormack sisters made one heck of an impression on the West Wing cast, because this lead to their making what just may be the best campaign commercial ever — and it’s for a non-partisan state election, no less.

It’s actually Bridget McCormack. Jim Dean is the chair of Democracy for America who also endorsed McCormack today.
