Why You Shouldn’t Go To Law School

by Ryan McKeen

If you read enough law blogs you’ll learn that going to law school is about the worst choice one can make in life. Too much debt, too many lawyers, too few jobs, too little pay, too much stress and God forbid you might actually have to represent a person instead of a thing.

I submit to you that none of the above reasons should dissaude anyone from going to law school but what I’m about to write should.

Last night I had a nightmare. In my dream, Kinkos accidently put red covers on my briefs instead of the requisite pink covers. My brief was due and I had no choice but to hand in briefs with red covers. Much to my joy, the clerk at the Appellate court accepted my briefs.

The three judge appellate panel was less kind than the clerk. Before I could open my mouth and begin telling the court why my client has standing the judges began admonishing me because my brief covers were the wrong color.

To make matters worse, Brooke Shields was the presiding judge on the panel and I couldn’t seem to make her understand that my client’s use was permitted as of right under the zoning regulations and the only issue was the drive thru. No matter what I said Judge Shields didn’t seem to grasp a fact that was essential to my argument.

I woke up with my heart racing and that’s why law school is a bad idea.

Your dream is your subconscious telling you how rediculous Judges really can be. Judges have told Pro Se litigants that they are the GOD of the court or that the court is 'their' courtoom when if fact, these attorneys in black robes who are politically appointed and approved need to come back down to 'reality' and understand that the court belongs to the People and NOT them. They are also obligated to follow the color of law by the Integrity of the black robe many do not deserve to wear in Probate/Juvenile/Family courts.

Because lower court civil court Judges know that the Appellant Court Judges do not review the evidence they have
supressed or ruled on based on their bais or unfairness, they are as smug and rudely advise litigants that they
can do whatever they want. Since the Judicial Review Board is comprised of fellow Judges and political appoitees
it is rare that a judge recieves anything but a 'free lunch' for their misconduct UNLESS the media follows their misconduct and the Public demands it.

More and more citizens are standing up to the INjustice System and are demanding that this broken system reform
