Basics of Blogs Twitter, and Social Media for Lawyers CLE Tonight!

Be there or be square.

If you’re going, you may want to read this before you attend. Despite my efforts, Gideon will not be a panelist tonight….he or she said something about anonymity and speaking in public.

You know, if you used some of this "social media" to stream the event LIVE, I may have been able to contribute w/o revealing my identity. Sheesh. Talking about the 21st Century while still in the 19th.

Maybe I'll come sit in the audience. Can I come for free?

For someone about to tutor on Social media and blogs, you sure do a poor job of responding to comments and fostering discussion!

    Touche…on trial yesterday….had another trial today….lawyer first.

I learned that my entire blog is wrong. Basically, I need to focus it on a practice area. A niche blog if you will. Something about writing about Cat Attacks and Mechanic's Liens in back to back post isn't good for business.

Oh well, I march the beat of my own drummer.

So who's got the review/write-up/synopsis/transcription of last night's event?

FWIW, if I were you, I'd keep doing what I'm doing. Schwartz doesn't know what the hell he's talking about anyway.

  7. I was sorry to have had to miss the seminar. Looking forward to purchasing the materials from the CBA once they become available. Well, Ryan, if you're doing this wrong, keep doing it! I enjoy your blawg very much.

    Gideon,

Two trials, a probate hearing, a motion on short calendar, a real estate closing, and half a dozen client meetings this week have slowed me down a little. I promise a full recap next week. Also, don't a owe you a beer? That's a debt you should collect!

    Irene,

I'm glad you enjoy the blog. I enjoy doing it. The seminar was excellent. Susan and Dan are worth their weight in gold in terms of their insights on the topics covered in the seminar. My blog isn't the ideal way to go about marketing one's practice and that's fine by me.

It's entertaining, informative and thought-provoking. And it's a welcome relief after a long day of practicing law. Right or wrong, Ryan, don't change a thing.
