Will Someone Please Explain The First Amendment To Sarah Palin

“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations,” Palin told host Chris Plante, “then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”  Governor Sarah Palin, 10/31/2008,  ABC News

The first rule about the first amendment is that it only applies to instances of the government action.  For example, if Governor Rell (state action) in her official capacity as governor ordered this blog shut down that would violate my first amendment rights.

Along the same lines, if you commented on this blog and I deleted it, I have not infringed on your first amendment rights.

The media cannot violate Sarah Palin’s first amendment rights by asking questions.
