Monogramming Dentures: Not A Fashion Statement, A New Connecticut Law

Connecticut has laws about everything and as of yesterday we have more laws about more things.

I’ve taken great pleasure in writing about ”interesting” Connecticut laws in this blog. Fortunately, there is no shortage of material.

I’m pleased to write that this past legislative session generated more laws. Earth shattering news, I know.

It seems that monogramming dentures was a concern for the legislature in this past session.

PA 08-24 requires all dentists to offer patients who need removable dentures the opportunity to have the patient’s name or initials placed on the prosthesis.  Further, the markings must be permanent, legible, and cosmetically acceptable.

Alas, the citizens of Connecticut can sleep soundly at night. Our legislature has made sure that your dentist offers monogramming for your dentures!

I’m waiting for the legislature to require all clothiers to offer me monogramming on my shirts.

Hi there. I’m a law student in NYC. I was looking at Mark Teixeira’s page on baseball-reference.com just now and noticed you sponsored it and that you’d written “Here’s hoping Teixeira winds up at Fenway in 2008.” Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to congratulate you on getting your wish, even if it’s not in the capacity you meant. ;)

    Kim,

I love baseball reference and think Mark Teixeira is a terrific ball player. Unfortunately, I think he’ll wind up signing with the Yankees this winter.

The clothing or fashion market is a multi-billion-pound industry and the constantly changing styles that dominate it are largely dictated by well-known designers who showcase their new seasonal collections several times a year at fashion shows in cities such as New York, London and Paris so because it is something I am interested in I thought I would try my luck at getting a piece of the action and wright some fashion fashion blogs – so I hope you don't mind that I am scouring the net to get some idea's from other peoples blogs to see exactly whats hot and not, yours has giving me a few fashion tips I did not want to know uuuw, Thanks
