$75,000 For What?

Today’s edition of legislators legislating in an election year: $75,000.00 of your tax dollars for a Hartford West Indian Independence Day Celebration.

Representative Kirkley-Bey has proposed a bill that would allocate $75,000.00 of your money to support the celebration of Hartford’s West Indian Independence Day Celebration.

In doing some research for this entry, I found something that I never thought was possible: West Indian Independence Day doesn’t have a wiki page. See for yourself.

Maybe the bill or this blog entry will change that.
